Typical frequency for our prenatal package visits are:
1st TRIMESTER - 1 VISIT
2nd TRIMESTER - 1x/MONTH
3rd TRIMESTER - 2x/MONTH
LAST MONTH - 1x/WEEK
POSTPARTUM 2-4 WEEKS - 1 VISIT
LABOR AND DELIVERY PREP for patients 37+ weeks. It includes full chiropractic adjustment, muscle work, stretches and exercise techniques you can implement at home to help the body prepare for a smoother labor. This is especially helpful for those planning for VBAC births or home births. Bring a partner to this visit to learn techniques! After this visit you can schedule the regular appointments again.
There is nothing better than that first adjustment postpartum. So much shifts during labor and delivery. Not to mention the exhaustion on your body and nervous system.
The best answer is in that 2-4 week time frame following delivery. We prefer that you rest - be horizontal with your babe(s) - for the first 2 weeks if possible.
If you had a c-section, we would like you to be cleared by your OB if you are coming in prior to your 6 weeks postpartum checkup.
If you’re in a ton of pain - with complaints like : severe tailbone pain, torticollis, pubic symphysis pain or something related to the bio-mechanics of your body -please call us directly and we will advise you accordingly.
